Lending A Helping Hand Without Leaving Your Home

Amidst the current pandemic, it’s very sad that a lot of people are struggling and there is no certainty of what the future holds. As the cases increase, more families are left with no source of income and or food. Those lucky enough to work from home have the opportunity to lend a helping hand to those in need. You do not have to put your life on the line to help. You can lend a helping hand to those in need without having to leave your home.

Support The Local Stores And Businesses

Since most entertainment centers have been shut down and people are confined at home, a lot of businesses are struggling to keep afloat. A good way to help would be by patronizing and supporting local businesses. Try your best to shop from local stores to help them stay afloat. Chain stores and other large companies may be able to survive this pandemic but the smaller businesses are in dire need of your help.

Support The Elderly

It has been reported that most cases are more severe among the elderly. A good way to show support is to help keep them company and encourage them to help them avoid stress. Nursing homes have been closed so they have fewer friends. Be there for them and spend time with family, it really helps. If you have any elderly neighbors living alone you could also try to show support by helping them with getting essentials when you get yours.

Make A Donation

Another great way to help during this time is through donations. A lot of families are struggling and a great way to show support is through donating. Any amount you donate you can make a huge difference to the lives of other people. If you can, make a donation. You can make a big difference.

Volunteer For A Helpline

You can also volunteer for COVID-19 helplines and help frontline out there making their jobs easier. You don’t need to be a professional but you could always help ease the anxiety others may be going through. There are so many ways to offer emotional support to your community and this is the first step.
